Hello there,
This is Week 5 of the One Room Challenge. I’m renovating my daughter’s bathroom and documenting the process in six blog posts over five weeks. You can catch up on the before photos, the design concept and slow progress here:
Week 1 | Week 2 | Week 3 | Week 4
We have made progress on the bathroom this past week! Well, we kind of had to as this was the last full week to get things done. And since I am posting this late on Sunday, there is only one day left to get everything photo ready for this Tuesday morning.
The big news last week was that the floor tiles were installed. I really love this modern take on a basket weave pattern with the rectilinear lines.
You can see them installed with the fan tile in the bath/shower pre-grout. I think it’s a nice change from the ever popular but always classic subway tile. It’s a little more playful. Once the soft grey grout goes in, it will soften the pattern a bit. Both tiles are from Jeffrey Court available at the Home Depot.
The dark blue grey paint colour has been replaced with a beautiful ethereal shade of blue I will share next week.
The fun part of any project is the accessory selection. When I saw these coral and peach accessories at HomeSense, I thought they would be the perfect accent colour in the space and work nicely with the blue.
Thanks for your patience with this ORC. I know I haven’t shared too much because of slow progress but I promise the reveal next week will be worth the wait. Or at least I hope it will.
You can read the posts of the 20 featured bloggers here and the rest of the guest participants here. I can’t wait to see all the reveals next week. The internet is going to be flooded with a whole lot of pretty.
Thank you for following along and leaving a comment. Much appreciated!
