(I realize it’s not Monday, but couldn’t come up with a catchy title š )
Well hello stranger! Where did those three weeks go? Wish I could say I was on a relaxing vacation somewhere exotic but alas, I have been working, working, working.
I did manage to take the past four days off from work so I am feeling somewhat rejuvenated.Ā No exotic vacation but a lot of biking, volunteering at my daughter’s dance recitals, attending the Milton Street Festival and my daughter’s track meet which meant that there was really no time for work.
1) I’m a little late in letting you know the winner of the Art Print Giveaway.Ā Thank you to everyone that entered.Ā The lucky winner is:
Kelly@refreshed designs
Congrats Kelly. I will email you with details on how to collect your prizes. I can’t wait to see what you create with all of the pretty. Thank you so much to Minted, Etsy, Yangyang and Tania for contributing to this giveaway.
2) I think that this Pin is a good indicator that people are deciding to reno rather than move.Ā It was repinned over 300 times from my pin in one day.
3) Would you paint your upholstery?
4) I have a few clients at the moment that are replacing their basic builder floor tile with hardwood. It is an investment but can transform a home like it does here. Oh, and even though this looks very glam, Paloma used an indoor/outdoor fabric on the banquette and a faux shagreen vinyl on the chairs making this very child-friendly.
5) While I’m hoping to just finish 2 books I have started this summer,Ā here’s an interesting list of summer reads.
I have many posts in drafts, so here’s hoping I can at least get one of them out this week. It’s my daughter’s birthday so we will see how that goes. š
Have a good one! (and thanks for sticking with me!)

June 14, 2014Lucky Kelly! Such a great giveaway – still bummed that I missed it!
Not sure if I’d paint upholstery. I just can’t imagine that it would feel good against the skin. On the other hand, I think outdoor fabric indoors is a great idea! You know that if it can stand up to the elements outside, it’ll have no trouble holding its own inside. Plus there are so many beautiful outdoor fabric, why limit yourself? š
