Hi there! I’m still here but took an unintended blogging break. I hope you are following me on Instagram as I try to post there almost daily. I will be back to blogging on a more regular basis towards the end of the summer. 🙂
If you are in the Toronto area, you probably have heard of Elte. But did you know that there is a new addition to the Elte family? Elte Market opened late last year and is a shopping destination catering to first time homeowners (and a younger demographic) who want stylish furniture and accessories at a more affordable price point. Their goal is to “take luxury home design to an accessible level.” Another bonus – every item on the floor is in stock. Elte Market is located in the same Castlefield design area as Elte.
I love the selection of coffee tables they have:
And these were very affordable and always on point:
And I believe their dining chair sale is still on:
A huge section for beds – upholstered and wood:
And of course their lighting game was strong:
The rug department is what you would expect from a sister store of Elte. Like most of their products, they source rugs from around the world. And from what I saw, many of the 8×10’s were in the $1500-2500 price range – so very affordable.
I love the tribal pattern on this one:
And this one:
Once you have your furniture, lighting and area rug in place, you will need to accessorize. Doesn’t this one image make you want to jump in the car pronto?:
I have this thing with bowls:
I just love this bust/figurine on a pedestal that I bought. If you just buy one accessory this year, it should be this. It’s so versatile. I instagrammed this photo of my daughter’s bathroom. She had taken “Jim” (no idea why Jim but that’s what she calls him) from the fireplace mantel and placed him in her bathroom. I think she’s right, he does look kind of perfect in there.
She also chose the chalkboard candle which works well with all the black accessories. (No, I don’t let her light it!) It comes with a piece of chalk that you can use to write fun sayings.
And just for fun, let’s see how Jim looks on my bookcase:
I love candles and have them throughout the house. These ones have wine scents! I chose the Riesling but there are many others including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio. The glass container is made of recycled wine bottles and the candles are soy.
I also loved their brass accessories like this brass vase and all of their colourful tea towels which are an easy way to add colour to an all neutral kitchen.
Oh and they have a clearance section with some of the pieces coming from Elte. My friend scored this chair for a fraction of the retail price. Isn’t it stunning?
Have you been to Elte Market? Next time you are in say Hi to Jeck, the Assistant Manager – he was a pleasure to deal with! As products are constantly changing, you will want to visit often. But if you are unable to make it in, you can order online as well.
(All photos except for the velvet and brass chair taken by me with my phone.)
(This post was sponsored by Elte Market but all opinions are my own.)
