Hi there,
Today I’m sharing the reveal of my fireplace mantel that I decorated with a little help from my friends at Lowe’s Canada as a #LowesHolidayHomes blogger. It was so much fun to peruse the Christmas/holiday section in store at my local Lowes and see what would work with my aesthetic. As I mentioned in my last post, I wanted to keep things simple adding in greenery and a bit of sparkle.
This is how the mantel has looked for the past couple of weeks. The mini tree, pine cones, ornaments, cedar garland and battery operated lights (best invention ever!) are all from Lowe’s. The mirror stayed but I layered it with the photo of a snowy owl that I took at our local conservation area.
As a decorator, I am always switching things up and moving things around in my house and the mantel was no exception. This is how the mantel looks now. I really wanted to layer it with all of the mini trees from Lowes (which are my new favourite obsession), more art and a bust as in the inspiration photo I showed here. So I took down the cedar garland and tried to squeeze as much as I could onto the mantel.
I just adore the reindeer and the sparkly cones and rose gold ornaments add much needed sparkle to the mantel area. I also stocked up on the neutral ribbon seen above and can’t wait to use it on the presents still to be wrapped. Is Christmas really in a few days?
I really love how the mantel turned out and I think the mantel shelf can stay like this not just for the Christmas holiday but throughout the winter season as nothing really screams Christmas.
Thanks to Lowe’s Canada for inviting me to participate in this initiative. Don’t forget to follow them on social here: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter
Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas holiday spent well with family and friends. And don’t forget to follow me on Instagram here as I will be sharing scenes from our holiday.
