Hello friends,
If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen snippets from the wonderful two days I spent in Prince Edward County as guests of Caesarstone a few weeks ago. The purpose was to introduce four new colours which you can see below but what a fun, inspiring way to do so. Come along…
I was in very good company.
We stayed in the most “instagrammable” motel – the June Motel:
We visited beautiful homes that featured Caesarstone. The first house we toured featured this kitchen in Intense White which was introduced early this year and is a clean, crisp white perfect for minimalist interiors. You can also use quartz on a vertical surface for a waterfall edge.
This home on the water featured 4001 Fresh Concrete on the kitchen and bathroom counters as well as the fireplace surround. Did you catch the recent reveal of my daughter’s current bathroom where I used Fresh Concrete. You can read that here.
Here Fresh Concrete is also used on the fireplace surround. How stunning.
The last home we toured featured this beautiful kitchen with Caesarstone’s Organic White as the island counter. It’s what I used in my daughter’s former bathroom which you can see here.
THE NEW COLOURS:
Caesarstone introduced four colours this month (May, 2018) – the top three are part of their new Metropolitan Collection (which includes these new colours plus some released earlier this year) and the last one is part of their Classico Collection:
4046 Excava is characterized by the “intriguing patinas of casting and oxidizing, combining the authentic features of rust and concrete. Its beauty reflects the geological decay of stone, weathered by time and nature. It has a rough concrete finish which is subtly coarse to the touch.” I can see this used as a bar counter in restaurants but in residential applications as well.
4044 Airy Concrete is on trend – a shade of grey with light and dark areas authentically mimicking a rough concrete finish.
4023 Topus Concrete is inspired by “topological strata and combines mineral formations found in nature with the rugged patinas of industrial materials.” It has a blush undertone but I would suggest it is in the beige family so works well with earth tones and muddy colours.
All photos taken by me except the first and last one.
The final colour introduced this month is Flannel Grey which is a more consistent grey than Airy Concrete but does have variation giving it interest. I can see this colour being very popular with designers and homeowners alike as it can fit into various aesthetics.
Earlier this year, Caesarstone introduced these three colours:
Cloudburst Concrete:
Frozen Terra:
Intense White:
Thank you Caesarstone for inviting me along on this fun journey! I can’t wait to use the new colours in upcoming projects.
