Happy Monday! Hope you had a great weekend.
It’s been awhile since I did a Monday Meandering post where I link up to what I have been loving around the net and what I’m working on etc.
1) Did you read my kitchen counter post?
2) I always wonder what makes some pins more popular than others. This pin was pinned almost 2000 times and I think it’s the most pinned image of all my pins. It’s from the home (bathroom) of Julie Carlson of Remodelista and shows simple styling paired with functionality. Follow me on Pinterest here.
3) Speaking of pins (that’s where all my inspiration comes from these days!), I had pinned the bathroom above which lead me to this Manhattan apartment designed by Jenny Wolf. Love her work! Check out her residential portfolio here.
4) Kirsten lead me to this pretty art wall using calendar pages for a girl’s room. How absolutely perfect! Cyndy from the Creativity Exchange painted inexpensive frames gold and had mats cut to size. Major impact for very little dollars.
5) If I had a dog, I would want something like this.
6) I’m not generally a “green” person, i.e. I really don’t have anything green either in my home (other than a few plants!) or my closet, but this post on green chairs has me thinking otherwise. (Both 5 & 6 seen on This is Glamorous. I pretty much love everything she posts.)
7) Speaking of green, I have been drawn to green velvet lately and I posted this photo on Instagram of a little girl’s room I am working on where we may be installing a green velvet headboard/bed.
8) Sherry gives us (more than) a glimpse into the Atlanta Holiday Home 2014. See the photos here.
9) I’m loving this collection of aprons, tea towels and pillows created by a Toronto based company as seen here. I have to put the scales apron on my holiday wish list. 🙂
10) Speaking of handmade goods, the Toronto One of a Kind Show is on starting this Thursday and there will be over 800 artisans. Will you be there? (I know I usually do a ticket giveaway but this week was too busy to host one.)
11) I love Sam and I love Ed so Ed doing Stay With Me is just the best. Have it on repeat ALL day.
12) I’ll leave you with these poignant words from Nate Berkus, who, as we all know lost his partner (and almost his life) in the Tsunami in 2004. He became very clear about what’s important in life. Hard to believe it has been almost ten years.
That’s it for now. Has anything caught your attention these past few weeks?
Have a happy week!

November 24, 2014Thank ya Sherry! Yes, that dining room was right up my alley. I especially loved the skirted table with the ribbon trim. Thanks for sharing your photos.

November 25, 2014Great post Vanessa. I’m a lover of green and use a touch of it in almost every room I do (even if it is just a plant). I love Stay with Me too, and the vocals of Ed and Sam are so beautiful, I can see why you keep it on repeat. I just read Nate’s post and it is so poignant especially at this time of year. I will be sharing!
