Happy Friday! Where did that week go?<\/p>\n

I was asked to write for hgtv.ca recently and my first article went live a few weeks ago. I decided to write about what makes a kitchen<\/a> timeless.<\/p>\n

If you have been reading Decor Happy for awhile or follow me on Pinterest<\/a>, you kind of know what the article would say.<\/p>\n

I based the article on this cover shot from one of the magazines in my ever-growing archive. (Yes, Vanessa you need to make purging one of your 2014 goals!) It\u2019s from 2004 which probably means the kitchen was renovated well before that. The thing about the kitchen is it could just as easily be on the cover of a magazine today, 10 years later.  It even has splashes of pink and I find the overall look of this small kitchen so charming. <\/p>\n

Here\u2019s another cover from, wait for it, 1998. It\u2019s Lynda Reeves renovated kitchen (that\u2019s editor Suzanne Dimma on the ladder.) Sixteen years later and this kitchen is still so beautiful. I remember just staring at the double stacked cabinets and rolling ladder and thinking how beautiful it was. <\/p>\n
